Who We Are...

CB Living was founded by Erica and Gavin Sollberger, Tucker Roberts, and Ethan Mueller with a common goal of creating a property maintenance experience that caters uniquely to each client that is not only top tier, but also simple. With extensive experience working together in the resort, hospitality, and construction industries, we feel poised to meet and exceed this goal. Additionally, the four of us have a long history in the Gunnison Valley, giving us the ability to guide and connect you with all the services, experiences, and great people within our community.
About Us...

Ethan was born and raised in the resort and hospitality industries – starting his career in his family’s resort business, Okemo Mountain Resort, in the cafeteria at the ripe age of 11. With a passion for the outdoors, mountain living, and guest experience, Ethan continued his work at his family’s company through high school and college in almost all departments – learning the importance of hard work and the positive consequence of connecting personally with coworkers and guests. Securing a degree in recreational management from the University of Vermont, getting certified as a professional hunting guide, and working a Northstar Resort in Tahoe, Ethan returned to the family business where he worked many years in Mountain Operations – eventually serving as the General Manager of Crested Butte Mountain Resort from 2011 to 2015 and then VP of Triple Peaks from 2015 to 2018. Ethan attributes much of his success in the Resort Industry to his ability to open doors and connect personally with coworkers and guests. He has a vast knowledge of operations and management in all areas of the resort and hospitality operations – understanding the expectations and challenges of visitors, second homeowners, and locals in the Gunnison Valley. Ethan is passionate about bringing a personal spin to CB Living and applying his knowledge of management and guest experience to the property management sector. Ethan and his wife Katie live in Crested Butte with their three children where they enjoy the countless outdoor opportunities the Gunnison Valley has to offer. Most notably skiing, biking, trail running, and hunting.
Tucker moved to the Gunnison Valley in 1996 to attend Western State College with a Wrestling / Track scholarship. Upon graduation with a degree in small business management, he started a small seasonal business in Crested Butte focusing on forest health and forest fire defensible space for homes and structures. In 2001, Tucker began his 20-year tenure with Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s Mountain Operations Division, which culminated with him managing their snowmaking department. Tucker has a passion for classic cars, motorcycles, and designing/building kinetic art. This passion has opened many doors for him including the creation of Tucker Built, his metal fabrication and welding shop in the Gunnison Valley. He is also a 10-year certified AWS welder. Tucker is CB Living’s boots on the ground, and the first line contact for repair and maintenance needs. With a vast understanding of mechanical maintenance and a large imagination, Tucker thrives on finding the perfect solution to problems and the best ideas for clients’ desires.
Erica is Ethan’s younger sister. Growing up in Vermont in their family’s resort business, she quickly learned what hard work and dedication mean. Her early passion for snowboarding, combined with these traits, led her to a career in alpine snowboarding after high school, earning her national titles, a spot on the US National team and 7 years on the World Cup Tour. After graduating with an online degree in Business Administration from Champlain College and narrowly missing the 2010 Olympics, Erica moved to Crested Butte to begin working full-time for the family business. Erica later married Gavin and they now have two spunky young daughters. She is passionate about everything the outdoors has to offer, but especially skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and the wildflowers in the Crested Butte summertime. She also serves on the board of directors for the Crested Butte Land Trust. During her tenure at the resort, Erica ran the public relations and community relations, as well as many other branding and guest service aspects during her tenure at the resort. She has since enjoyed learning the real estate side of the business and adding a property management component excites her for the opportunities to connect with those who are also passionate about this place. Being a people person, Erica brings this aspect to the business, establishing client relations and ensuring back of the house systems are guest-centered.
Gavin has the typical Texan story of growing up visiting Crested Butte along with several other ski towns. This made Western State College an easy choice to start college in 1998. After finishing school at Stephen F. Austin in east Texas in 2002, he immediately moved back to CB working for Christy Sports, the Firehouse, and landscaping until he found a home at the ski resort working for the Lift Maintenance Department. He then moved on to a lift construction crew working on ski lifts around the country. After five summers on the road, he then decided to marry Erica and stay around home more. He most recently worked with Black Dragon Development helping manage construction projects including the new RMBL community building, four of the new Wildhorse spec homes and the new Center for the Arts. With a strong mechanical background and project management, Gavin is poised to help CB Living and its clients and partners find efficiencies and problem solve to be sure the home is well cared for. He too loves skiing the nasty steeps on the resort and backcountry, riding his snowmobile places beyond his ability, and acting like he’s not a dad in his 40’s on his mountain bike. He is extremely lucky and grateful to have called Crested Butte his home for as long as he has and now he has a growing family to raise here.
