Crested Butte Mountain Resort has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to user privacy. Privacy on the Crested Butte Mountain Resort web site ( is of great importance to us. We gather important information from our visitors and customers, so we publish this statement as a way to communicate our information gathering and dissemination practices. We reserve the right to change this statement and will provide notification of the change at least thirty (30) business days prior to the change taking effect. The notice would include directions on how users may respond to the change.

Collected Information
We require people who register to use the services offered on our site to give us contact information. Depending on the service chosen, we ask for information such as their name, company name, address, phone number, e-mail address, and financial and billing information, such as billing name and address, and credit card number.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort uses the information that we collect to set up services for individuals. We may also use the information to contact users and prospects to further discuss their interest in Crested Butte Mountain Resort, the services we provide and ways we can improve them. Crested Butte Mountain Resort also implements an advanced security method based on dynamic data and encoded session identifications, and hosts the site in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders.

This website uses the Google AdWords and other remarketing services to advertise via our own marketing efforts and on third party websites (including, but not limited to Google) to previous visitors to our site. An example could be that we advertise to previous visitors who have used our contact form to make an inquiry. It could also mean that a user’s browsing history on our website is utilized for marketing purposes.  This could be in the form of an advertisement on Google, or another website’s search results page, or a site in the Google Display Network or other websites Crested Butte Mountain Resort, or our advertising affiliates, work with. This could also be in the form of email for website visitors who have opted in to receive emails from us. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past visits to the Crested Butte Mountain Resort website. Drone Policy

Out of safety concerns for guests, employees, and resort property, Crested Butte Mountain Resort prohibits the operation of unmanned aerial systems, or aerial drones, by the general public, including recreational users and hobbyists, without prior written authorization from the Resort. This prohibition includes drones for filming or videotaping, as well as any drone use by media or journalists operating above Crested Butte Mountain Resort property, including any drone launched off-site and subsequently flown above Resort property. Please contact Erica Mueller at 970-349-2205 if you have any questions or if you seek prior-approval to operate any aerial drones. Any authorized operation of aerial drones will be governed by Federal Aviation Administration rules and regulations, as well as policies established by Crested Butte Mountain Resort, which may include certification, training, insurance coverage, and indemnification requirements. Any violation of this policy may involve suspension of your skiing privileges, or the revocation of your season pass.
